【论文速递】有意义的创新:决策框架、认知基础与赶超路径


摘要: 在我国创新驱动发展战略的背景下,探索系统性赶超的企业创新路径,已经成为建设科技强国的重要议题,以"意义"为基础的企业创新战略开始获得关注。在有意义的创新范式下,研究关注企业创新战略的决策框架、认知基础与赶超路径:构建基于意义的企业决策框架并系统论述框架中各空间场域的特征与意义;探索以价值理性为核心的意义管理认知基础,提出系统化运用整合思维、反领域思维、反思思维与启发思维是企业发现与管理创新意义的关键;强调以意义为核心的认知与决策框架有利于创新企业可持续竞争优势的全面提升,实现基于范式跃迁的系统性超越。

Abstract: Under the background of China's innovation-driven development strategy, exploring the path of enterprise innovation to systematically catch up and overtake has become an important topic for building a scientific and technological power. And the "meaning" based enterprise innovation strategy has begun to gain attention. Under the meaningful innovation(MI) paradigm, the study focuses on the decision-making framework, cognitive basis, and catch-up path of innovation strategy. This study constructs the meaning-based decision-making framework and systematically discusses the characteristics and significance of each spatial field in the framework. The research explores the cognitive basis of meaning management with value rationality as the core, propose systematic use of "Holistic thinking", "Anti-field thinking", "Reflective thinking" and "Enlightenment thinking" is the key for enterprises to discover and manage the significance of innovation. In addition, this study emphasizes that the meaning-centered cognitive and decision-making framework is conducive to the overall improvement of firm's sustainable competitive advantage and the realization of systematic transcendence based on paradigm transition. In the new era, the transformation of enterprise innovation paradigm from "scale and efficiency" to "value and significance" is an important indicator of economic and social development. Meaningful innovation(MI), as a new paradigm that emphasizes the "return" of humanistic spirit and philosophical thinking in enterprise innovation activities, has begun to rise and gain important attention in the field of innovation management. Under the framework of meaningful innovation, innovation can be defined as a dynamic process in which an enterprise comprehensively expresses its internal and external meanings by coordinating and reorganizing various elements, and it is the recognition and transformation of the innovation subject to economic value, social value, strategic value, and future value. Meaningful innovation(MI) stressed that the enterprise attention to innovative active will contribute to the shaping of sustainable competitive advantage, help to its free from the bondage of focus on short-term interests, to focus on long-term benefits and the external social welfare, the realization of social progress and human development significance of great innovation practice. From this perspective, meaningful innovation is an important theoretical paradigm and practical tool for enterprises to solve the dilemma of innovation development under the current situation. However, the existing researches mainly focus on the theoretical origin, conceptual connotation, governance paradigm and strategic value of meaningful innovation(MI), focusing on the answers to the questions of what is the meaning of innovation and why enterprises should implement meaningful innovation. However, there is a lack of systematic discussion on how innovation subjects make high-quality innovation decisions in a meaningful innovation framework, as well as the cognitive basis on which they rely. Needless to say, no matter for academic research or enterprise practice, the above questions are an important link connecting "to be" and "being" in the framework of meaningful innovation theory and have high research value. For this purpose, this study focuses on two topics: firstly, it discusses the meaning-based enterprise decision making, i.e., how the dimension of innovation meaning is embedded into the traditional "technology and market" paradigm, thus forming a new framework for enterprise innovation decision making. Secondly, the cognitive basis of meaning management is analyzed in the bottom layer of innovation decision making, that is, what kind of thinking mode does the innovation subject rely on to explore and manage the meaning of innovation? Focusing on the two topics, the paper puts forward a systematic catch-up path with meaning leading as the core and makes a preliminary discussion based on the practice of enterprises.
